Responsibility: The Cole Academy seeks to empower young children by providing them with experiences, instruction and tools they need to establish goals for themselves. This in turn helps them to think critically and prepares them for future school success.
Possibility: The Cole Academy strives to expand the perspective of young children and those who teach them, and to make them aware of life's possibilities.
Support: The Cole Academy believes in supporting young children in a caring, inclusive learning environment. This support extends to teachers, families and members of the community.

Positive Growth Mindset
The Cole Academy promotes positive growth mindset in all our young learners. This enables children to develop their talents through dedication and hard work. We want children to feel valued and capable. The Cole Academy builds positive growth mindset through STEM projects and sharing of individual projects. This enables them multiple opportunities each day to collaborate and solve problems. We nurture pride in our students as they reach goals. We teach them how to value and encourage others in their lives. When children learn to feel valued, they build strong classroom communities. In turn, this mindset helps them to grow into capable citizens of tomorrow.
Support for Communities
The Cole Academy partners with educational programs in the Tidewater Area to provide meaningful student teaching experiences for students at area trade schools, colleges, and universities. We provide mentorship for other early childhood professionals through staff development trainings, workshops and site visits. We offer parents informational sessions designed to help their child become more resilient and positive in our ever changing world.
